Rain
A tear of dew rolls off a leaf and shimmers in its fall,
In mid air it screams “despair” and wages earth a war,
It hits the ground and makes a pound that none could ever hear,
And then it dies, but no one cries and seldom less appear.
The sky begat a diamond child that fell on to a leaf,
It often does, when earth is cruel - it curdles up and weeps,
But all the tears that live their life are short and yet abound,
And on they hurl, they shimmer , swirl, and die upon the ground
What life is so important that we oft neglect reflect,
To think about the seed of life that keeps us out of heck,
What life is longer lasting than a single bead of rain,
Perception is your fault but oft you supersede in vein.
